How to Install WordPress on Linux Server

WordPress is an open-source application that is very popularly used as a CMS (Content Management System). This is because WordPress is very easy to learn and use, and has many features that can help you manage your website or blog. Install WordPress on Linux

To install WordPress on Linux, first, you need to download it from the official website wordpress.org. After that, use the wget command to download the WordPress zip file:

wget https://wordpress.org/latest.zip

Now unzip the downloaded file:

unzip latest.zip

After that, a new folder named “WordPress” will appear. Go into that folder and move all files to the document root of your web server. If using Apache, the document root is the /var/www/html/ folder. So you need to run the following command to move the WordPress files:

sudo mv wordpress/* /var/www/html/
